Dedicated slots tournaments web portal, Slot Tournaments .net has created a free toolbar for monitoring online freeroll slot tournaments from casinos running the Microgaming tournaments plugin. It’s a neat little tool that (currently) works in Internet Explorer.
Installation is simple - just download a zip file, run the executable therein and it add a small toolbar to IE which shows the next tournament due and the time it starts. It also features a “countdown” which tells you when there is 20 minutes to go, then changes colour when there is 10 minutes to go. This is so players can register before each freeroll starts (a prerequisite).
I find it very useful as a reminder for each of the freeroll tournies as I tend to forget there is one coming up. A the moment, the toolbar only displays freeroll tournaments that are included in the standard Microgaming package, but there are plans for a future version that includes casino-specific exclusive tournaments.
In addition to the tournament display, there is a small drop-down menu that includes links to the complete daily schedule of freeroll slot tournaments (for all Microgaming casinos), a tweaks links for optimising your PC for the tournies, an FAQ and a few other odds ‘n’ sods related to slot tournaments.
